JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
1. EDUCATION
- Assess learner characteristics including learning styles and learning needs for programme development
- creates an effective learning environment
- demonstrates proficiency in use of technology
- evaluates the outcomes of staff education
- implements a variety of teaching strategies tailored to the learner's characteristics learning needs, cultural perspective and outcome objectives
- applies nursing and learning theoretical and conceptual foundations as a basis for developing nursing professional development programs
2. LEADERSHIP
- Maintains visible clinical presence
- Adheres to regulatory body / agency standards
- Advocates for the nursing professional development programs that support the needs of the learner and the organization
- Effectively facilities group processes
- Functions as a change agent and leader
- Implements motivational strategies at individual, group, program or organizational levels
- Uses outcome measurements and outcome evaluation methods
- interpret and uses research in practice
- Uses organizational strategic plan and goals to determine educational priorities
3. PROGRAM AND PROJECT MANAGEMENT
- Consistently uses planning methodologies when implementing, facilitating and/or evaluation various programs and projects
- Designs and implements evaluation plans for programs and projects
- Develops and implements a budget for programs and/or projects
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Master / Degree in Nursing
- Current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse
- Post Basic in Perioperative
- Minimum 4 years of clinical nursing experience including 3 years of demonstrated leadership and teaching skills in Nursing required, or satisfactory combination of education and experience
